Madeline Hartwig Obituary

Madeline Edenbo Hartwig was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania on December 17, 1918 and passed away March 22, 2015. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was a proud military wife, an avid gardener, wonderful homemaker, a member of the Embroiders Guild of America, and a 50 year member and past President of her Chapter of PEO. She was loved by her family and many friends across the nation.

She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Colonel Harvey H. Hartwig of Colorado Springs, Colorado and her sons, Robert Lee Hartwig and Charles Ross Hartwig.

She is survived by her son, William Frederick Hartwig and his wife, Donna Thorne Hartwig of Plymouth, Massachusetts; her daughter, Mary Hartwig Welty, John Neal Welty of Elbert, Colorado; her grandson, Brett Charles Hartwig and his wife, Jennifer Berg Hartwig of Petersburg, West Virginia; her granddaughter, Katharine Hartwig Newth and her husband, Sean Newth of Hingham, Massachusetts; her grandson, John Andrew Welty of Elbert, Colorado; and her granddaughter, Erin Welty Chinn and her husband, Ensign Jason Chinn of Chesapeake, Virginia, her great grandsons, Jack and Sam Chinn, Bryce and Payton Berg, and great granddaughters, Madeline Chinn, Lauren and Caroline Newth.

Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Black Forest Chapel, 14190 Black Forest Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado
