BALDUCCI, Leno Leno Balducci, 88, of New Britain, died Wednesday, (August 31, 2005) at his home. Born in Italy, Leno moved to New Britain in 1923 and has also maintained a residence at Coral Sands in Westbrook for many years. He attended local schools and was employed at Fafnir Bearing Company in New Britain for 32 years until his retirement in 1979. Leno was a member of St. Ann's Church, and the Marchegian Society, both of New Britain. Surviving is Leno's beloved wife of 63 years, Angeline (LaRosa) Balducci of New Britain; three sons, Robert Balducci and his wife Roxanne of Sylvania, GA, Fred Balducci and his wife Louise of Kensington, and Joseph Balducci and his wife Cheri of East Berlin; a brother, Joseph Balducci and his wife Emily of Newington; a sister, Laia Francini and her husband Leo of New Britain; a brother-in-law, Nino Cardone of New Britain; seven grandchildren, Tara, Brooke, Tyler, Tracy, Todd, Daron, and Dana; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Aldria Cardone. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 8:45 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, New Britain. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be held Friday, 4-7 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Connecticut, 205 West Main Street, P.O. Box 1327, New Britain, CT 06050-1327.
