Marcel Morin Obituary
MORIN, Marcel Marcel Morin, 65, beloved husband of Gisele (Fortin) Morin of South Windsor, died suddenly,Thursday (November 16, 2006) at home. Born in St. Philibert, Quebec, Canada on June 28, 1941, son of the late Delias and Fernande (Rancourt) Morin, he had lived in Hartford before moving to South Windsor 30 years ago. Before retiring he was employed by Partitions Incorporated of East Hartford. Marcel was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Windsor, enjoyed fishing, golfing and wintering in Florida. He was always helping others as an all around handyman. In addition to his wife, Gisele, he leaves his children, Nancy and her husband, Michael Downs of South Windsor, Tina Morin and Jim MacGillvary and his son, Patrick of Tolland, David and his wife, Sarah Morin of Manchester and Roger and his wife, Christina Morin of East Hartford; three brothers, Remy and his wife, Renee Morin, Bertrand and his wife, Francine Morin and Martin and his wife, Audrey Morin, all in Canada; two sisters, Francine and her husband, Luc Poulin in Canada and Henriette and her husband, Akram Bikhazi, of Beirut, Lebanon; three grandchildren, Jeffrey and Melissa Downs and Luke Morin and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather, Monday, 9 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. His family will receive friends, Sunday from 3-6 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home. Hi Dad-
Always thinking of you as usual, so I thought I would check in with you. Jeff has graduated from Grad School and rec'd his Masters and is currently studying for his CPA - 2 more test to go!! Melissa is in Boston at college. Please keep an eye on her and guide her with all your angels. Mike is keeping busy and same with me. I miss you so much. Mom is doing fine and everyone else is to. Wish you were here to see Luke and his little brother Josh.

It does not seem possible that it is a week that we were among the many many people offering our condolences to all of you.
It certainly is a wonderful testimonial as to the amount of people that Marcel touched their lives in some way. He certainly was loved and respected.You will miss him surely but all the good memories will sustain you.

Words cannot express the pain we feel for you all.Marcel was a giant in everyones heart.
