I am so thankful that you were my sister. You were someone who I could count on. You were always there with open arms when I needed a hug. You had an open mind when I needed someone to understand.

I could always be myself around you. You knew my strengths, weaknesses and faults. And you loved me just the same.

I am so proud that you were my sister. My biggest cheerleader for whatever I was trying to accomplish.

I had you to talk with daily and to laugh with. Now, I can only reminisce about the memories we made.

You were and will always be one of the most important persons in my life. My baby sister...Mona Lisa

Mona. I sure wish you were still down here with us. So many things have been created like Alexa and backup cameras. So many things are the same, I'm still watching General Hospital. I take comfort in that you're in an awesome place and I will join you there someday. Love you.

in a strange and special way.
Remembering the things you would say and do,

It's been 2 years today.....and I still remember my dearest friend. I miss you Mona. Our friendship is still so special to me. I will never forget you, our long talks, and your understanding spirit. You told me not to give up on my boys, I won't give up...but it's hard. I miss you my friend.

Unbelievably on Monday it will be two years that you've been gone. Silly me, I still can't bear to take your name out of the phone book on my cell. This past year has had it's ups and downs. Just got back from my first trip to Europe which was good : ) In one of our last conversations we talked about you being my maid of honor whenever my man got around to popping the question. Unfortunately that didn't happen and I'm boyfriendless in broward again : (
I so wish you were still here to talk to.

I woke up this morning with Mona on my heart. She was a beautiful ray of sunshine. I shed so many tears over my sons and she would always tell me, don't give up, you are their hope. She would say, If you give up, who will hold on for them. Today those very words she spoke to me, gave me comfort. Mona Lisa's spirit lives on.

Even though we didn't spend much time together, when I set down and think about Kathy and the holidays and about all the diva's I knew you come cross my mind. Everytime I pass the house I think about you and still look over to see if you will come out so that I can blow. Mona you are truly missed. To Kathy and Julie the both of you is always in my prayers. Love you both always. To mama Liz I'm Praying for you to love Marilyn.

"If I could save time in a bottle; I'd save everyday till eternity passed just to spend them with you." Sunday, March 11,2008 was still a day of disbelief. Everyday I expect to hear my phone ring and hear you say "hey girl." We were always there for one another; you always said "girl I got your back." and I had yours.

I know God doesn't make mistakes, and I will never question his decisions.

Thanks to everyone for keeping in touch. It is through our memories that Mona still lives.

Love,
Kathy

Even though I know Mona's in a fabulous place I'm still so sad that she's not here anymore.
Today was a tough day. A year since Mona left us as well as a Mother's day without my mom around. Two people I could call day or night to talk to about anything.
I miss hearing Mona's voice so much. How excited she'd get when I fill her in on gossip or how happy she was to hear from me whenever I called. I hope in the coming year that when I think of her it doesn't make me sad, that my memories of Mona bring a smile to my face. I was so lucky to have met her.

My prayers are with the entire family. I worked with Mona for many years at Olympia Heights Branch. I remember her starting out as a carrier. She was a beautiful lady--inside and out. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May God bless the family and friends.

My condolences to Willie, Marcus, Kathy & Judy. Mona was a very special friend to me. She was the only friend I had when I lived in Miami. I have always treasured her sincerity & kindness, she was there for me when I really needed someone. Marcus and Danielle were born exactly 30 days apart. She, and your family will always be in my prayers. Marcus continue to make your mother proud. I love you all.

My condolences to the family of Mona Lisa Thomas, Her kind spirit will be missed, and actually it is still here with among us with the people she shared herself with in the Postal Service and others, she was such as sweet kind spirit, and I left the area a year ago, and meant to see her before I left, I just knew she'd be there for me to see her when I came back to visit those I missed before I left. Now I am forever disappointed, Kathy, and Juliet, and your parents, I send my love and support, she was one of a kind. She is surely to be missed, stay strong, and know that Our God is a healer, and he will come in and lift your burden,.. I am keeping you all in my deepest sincere Prayers,..

I will never forget the kindness of her heart, the glow in her smile or the gentleness of her spirit. She is only gone from us physically. Mona's legacy lives on in the kindness of Kathy, and the smile of Julia. I will miss my friend. God grant peace to the hearts of all who knew her and loved her. Godspeed Mona Lisa, I bid you Godspeed.

My deepest sympathy to Mona's friends and family. Mona and I started out as co-workers twenty-something years ago and became BFF along the way. I miss her so
much. She was one of the first people I'd call when I needed advice or we'd call each other right away when the latest news or gossip came out.
