LaVonne Wahl Obituary

LaVonne Ruth Wahl

LaVonne Ruth Wahl, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully June 5, 2003 in Wenatchee Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
LaVonne was born in Blendon, SD on February 3, 1925 to Esther and Adolph Breland. She lived in Wessington Springs, SD where she met Forrest J. Wahl and later moved to Everett, WA where they were married on October 28, 1945. LaVonne was a teacher, housewife, mother and very involved with community and family. She worked at K-Mart in Everett several years before retiring and moving to Mattawa with Forrest, to be near their grandchildren. She never missed a ballgame, state tournament, horse show, or camping trip where her grandkids were involved. After the death of Forrest on June 15, 2002 she became very involved with the Desert Aire Senior Center, and assisted in many community fund raisers and projects. She could always be counted on to create homemade items and food.
LaVonne is survived by her four children, James K. (Megan) Wahl, Treta K. (Quin) Ravencraft, Bonnie R. (Dick) Jenkin, and Larry W. (Cathy) Wahl; six grandchildren, Katie (Mark) Hull, Jenny (Shane) Price, Jeremy Jenkin, Misty Jenkin, Michael Wahl, and Jacob Ravencraft; and great grandchildren Kayla and Garrett Hull, and Sydnie Price; and sister Beverly (Kenny) Mohling.
LaVonne impacted many lives with her loving and giving ways. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 9, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy. Interment will be at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
