I miss my neighbor Mrs. McClurkin AKA Baby Ann. We would greet each other every morning outside sometimes before the sun came up. She was a pillar in the community. I've seen many walking down Flint Hill Street stop by her house and she hand the some food. Rest well Baby Ann you are truly missed.

Words cannot describe how Baby Ann touched so many lives. She was a staple and foundation in my life and the lives of countless others growing up at Flint Hill Baptist Church. I remember the love and patience she showed to us all. Baby Ann was always there for anyone at any time, and we knew that when she was in charge of an event, organization, practice, or group, there were never any worries. She was always a presence and a positive force with a gentle nature but a unique way to keep us all working hard. I can only imagine what the McClurkin family is going through. I know you have lost a gem. Thank you for sharing Alice Ann with us and letting us be a part of your extended family through her. We pray for the McClurkin family, Flint Hill Baptist Church Family, a host of friends, and the community who loves her. I know that we all have an incredible guardian angel watching from above and smiling as she sees the amazing children and families she raised and cared for over the years. May God grant you all peace, comfort, healing, love, and understanding during this difficult time.

Love,
Celia & Elise Kerr

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the McClurkin family and friends. Ms. "Baby Ann" was a true servant and always had a heart for helping others. We believe she created the phrase "No Child Left Behind " before it became popular. She had an affinity and deep concern for all the many children whose lives she impacted.

An example of a life well lived. May God continue to bless and comfort your family now and in the days ahead.

Sincerely,

Yvetta Barber and Family

Alice Ann McClurkin. Baby Ann. Will always be a precious pearl of a person who positively influenced the lives of many people of many ages. A person who gave encouragement and opportunities. Such an excellent example for the young and for the old. Never heard anything negative come from her. Never saw anything negative about her. Everything about her was uplifting and positively inspirational. Alice Ann McClurkin. Baby Ann. She helped and inspired me and so many others to do good in life--to "always do your best." A person who helped so many people to grow in their love for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and in the work that They want done--at the places we work, in the communities we live, and at the churches we attend. Alice Ann McClurkin. Baby Ann. So full of gentleness, love, strength, devotion, faith, and joyfulness. I and so many others are thankful that our lives were touched by the rare and worthy life of Alice Ann McClurkin. Baby Ann...Heartfelt prayers towards everyone in her family...

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Ann. She was a wonderful, strong, and generous soul. She was always there for anyone when needed. She inspired many children to be the best they could be. At times I would ask young adults who was the most influential adult during childhood. The most frequent answer was Ms. McClurkin. She blessed us all.
Her loving spirit lives on.
