Walter Leuzinger, 91, of Venice, Florida for the last 30 years was the beloved husband of LaVerne (Young) Leuzinger for 65 years, father of three children, Walter Y. (Marge Lowery) Leuzinger, David Leuzinger (deceased) and Lisa (Bob) Beerman and grandfather of Adrienne (Chris) Catania.
He was formerly from Pittsburgh, PA and enjoyed a long and successful career at PPG Industries for over 30 years. He was a proud WWII Veteran and part of the 338th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was a successful writer, an avid Steeler fan, golfer, rose gardener, world traveler and kite-maker. He was a devout Catholic and his funeral service will be celebrated Friday, May 29th at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes, Venice, FL with the burial immediately following at the Garden of Resurrection at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
