James Kite Obituary

James Gregory Kite, of Costa Rica and formerly of Houston, died at his home on September 24. Born in Roswell, NM in 1956, he and his family moved to Houston and later to Long Island, NY, then to Rio de Janiero, Brazil. He returned to Texas in 1970, remaining until his move to Costa Rica in 2010. He loved the culture, language and people and was very happy making his home there. He also loved his family and friends in Texas, and visited often.
Educated at San Jac College and U. of H., he was employed many years by SCA Engineering, providing structural design and engineering services for their national and international markets. His fondness and respect for his co-workers at SCA was remembered, with deep gratitude.
Gregg is survived by his parents, Beverly and Don Burton, siblings Lori and Russell Kite, step- siblings Debora, Regina, and Don Burton, Jr., nieces Jenn Eli, Heidi Smith, nephews Justin Eli, Austin Kite, aunt Cheryl Smith, cousins Cindy Miller, Sandra Koonce, Susan Douvry, Colly Enochs, Cayce Connolly, Rob Spidell.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 6, at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 5830 Bermuda Dunes, 77069. In lieu of flowers, family will appreciate donations to J.W. United Methodist Church, Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Blvd. 77030, or a charity of choice.

Iam lost Gregg my good friend the thing he did for me heck he wrote my first resume 1988 and stood up for me in court help when custody of my son I'll truly miss him his mom and dad would be proud of there son big Game sat Texas vs virgian tech this .will be the first time I'll holler for the longhorns love u Gregg I'll look at that little bar in costa rica
