Larry Arnold Obituary

Larry Wayne Arnold
1952-2015
Larry Wayne Arnold passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 in a bow-hunting accident (doing what he loved). He was 62 years old. Larry was born October 15, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Bruce & Jeannette "Simmons" Arnold. His step-father Jones L. Simmons was his mentor and best friend.
Larry owned "The Arnold Wealth Advisory Group" in the Woodlands; and enjoyed helping his clients with their investments and insurance needs; always there for them whenever they needed him. He was a very kind-hearted and caring man that would go out of his way to help others.
He loved the outdoors and his pets. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Beagle Freedom Project, www.beaglefreedomproject.org, in the name of Larry Arnold.
Larry is survived by his wife, Lynda Arnold of Magnolia, TX; his mother, Jeannette Simmons of Kosse, TX; his brother, Robert Arnold of Louisiana; and his step-son, Rob Conner of California. His beloved beagle dogs, Hailey, Troubles, Freckles, Bernie and Gus; and extended family. He is loved and will be missed by all.
A service of remembrance and celebration will be officiated by Pastor Cliff Ritter of The Woodlands United Methodist Church. The service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 4:00pm in the chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands, reception to follow.

My sincere sympathy for your loss. My brother Steve and I grew up on Ruell St as neighbors to the Arnolds. Jeanette, I know you will remember Lou and Steve Wilcox. I learned of Larry's passing through the Milby Alumi Newsletter. It looks like he had a wonderful life and beautiful wife.

With a few of his best pals.

Dearest Linda, we just heard about this horrible tragedy. We are so sorry and wish we had the right words. Larry was a great guy, a wonderful story-teller and a real electronic junkie! We will definitely miss our friend and valued associate.

P.S. We were on a motorcycle trip in Arkansas wearing the leathers that we got from Larry and we thought of you both...not knowing. So sorry.

I am sorry for the loss of Larry, he started hunting late in his life, not as a kid like some. He fell in love with it. He learned everything he could from Daddy, then went on to study every bit of information he could he could get his hands on, almost as if he were going for a degree. He became an avid and very proficient hunter. Now he has probably harvested more big game than anyone in our family, except maybe Daddy. Other than his beautiful wife Lynda, and his mother I think his beagles and hunting were the other loves of his life. After Daddy passed he spent all of the free time he could helping my stepmother bear her burden, as well as helping Daddy before he (Daddy) passed. He was very active and not afraid of work. He stuck by me at Daddy's funeral, and was always there for those that needed him. He will be sorely missed by many family and friends, but it is comforting to know that he and Daddy are probably hunting every day, and telling tall tales in the evenings. We know you are in a better place now Larry, but that does not ease the burden of losing you for the rest of us. We know you were well loved, and appreciated by us all. My heart goes out for Lynda Arnold (wife) and Jeannette Arnold Simmons (mother), for I know they bear the heaviest burden with his loss and will keep them in my prayers, and am sure all that knew him will do the same. We love you Larry. Jimmy, Paula, and family
