Kathryn Turcott Obituary

Kathryn H. Turcott
1965-2021
Kathryn Hecht Turcott, 55, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2021 at her home.
Kathryn was born on April 22, 1965 in Fort Worth, Texas and was raised in Houston, Texas by loving parents, Robert and Shirley Hecht. After graduating from Memorial High School, Kathryn went on to study at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and later graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
In 1995 Kathryn met her spouse, Troy Turcott when they became neighbors, and they wed on March 16, 1997 at Congregation Emanu El in Houston, TX. They went on to have three children, Natalie, Micah, and Matthew.
Kathryn had many passions, including art, children with special needs, animals, and reading and writing. She was the former director of the Interfaith Ministries Foster Grandparent Program, a teacher's assistant for students with special needs and an art teacher. Amazing with kids and a true animal lover, Kathryn will be remembered for her ability to instantly connect with children and pets.
Kathryn was predeceased by her father, Robert Hecht, and her brother, Michael Hecht. She is survived by her husband, Troy Turcott; her children, Natalie, Micah, and Matthew Turcott, and her mother, Shirley Hecht. She will also be dearly missed by her beloved dogs, Max and Charlie.
A private graveside service was held this week, with Rabbi Adrienne Scott officiating.

Troy, I know how special your marriage and friendship were to Kathryn. She wouldn’t have wanted to spend her life with any other man.
Natalie, Micah, and Matthew, You all were the light of her heart and she felt so blessed to have you as her children. Keep her love in your hearts.
Kathryn was a special person that I am lucky to have had a friendship with. All my prayers for the four of you and of course for Max and Charlie. We shared our love for dogs.
