Dorothy Teare was born on Feb. 21, 1924, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Frank and Lois (Simmons) Lowman. She graduated from Wichita High School in 1941.
She met her husband Darrell B. Teare while they were both freshman at NNC in Nampa. They were married in Wichita on April 23, 1944.
Following Darrell's honorable discharge from the U.S. Army Air Corps, they returned to Nampa to complete their studies at NNC. Dorothy graduated from NNC in June of 1947 with a bachelor's degree in business.
