William Woodward Obituary

WILLIAM LEE WOODWARD William Lee Woodward passed away on November 30th at the age of 72. He is survived by his sister Judith Woodward-Horne, niece Juli Burnham, nephews Cord Burnham and Jay Horne, as well as Jay's wife Tamara Horne and their daughters, Jade, Abigail, Violet, and Tessa who were his great nieces. In 1967 Bill enlisted in the navy and worked as a radar operator on the USS King guided missile destroyer. He was stationed in Vietnam for part of his serviced and was honorably discharged in 1970 after serving his country for four years. He attended Eastern New Mexico University and would go on to graduate with a degree in business. He worked at Pro Express Trucking and later at R&L Carriers steadily until his retirement in 2008. For almost 65 years Bill was very active with the Boy Scouts of America where he received many awards for his service and had a positive effect on the lives of many young men and boys. He spent his retirement serving on the home owners association for Ramona Villa where he resided. He will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to know him. A Memorial Service will be held December 15th from 1PM to 4PM at Ramona Villa, located at 9800 Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga for friends and neighbors. An additional service will be held by the Boy Scouts on December 16th starting at 3PM at 1324 E. 4th Street, Ontario
