Robert really was a wonderful person. He was good, decent, kind, caring, loving, and he made me laugh every day. We did everything together, talked about everything, I loved just being with him. He was my best friend and the love of my life, and I'm going to miss him for the rest of my life.

I worked with Robert on many archaeological field projects run by the Jeffrey L. Brown Institute of Archaeology, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, in the 1980s. Robert was a tireless and enthusiastic worker, and we spent many hours together in the trenches. He was an accomplished artist, and I have several of his pen-and-ink drawings in my home office. My wife Beth and I mourn his passing and send our condolences to his family.

Robert was a longtime good friend and former coworker. He was a talented artist and a kind person. I enjoyed his visits to the frame shop and valued his friendship. He will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend.

•Our sincere condolences to you Sharon, your daughter Jennifer and the family and friends of Robert Lambdin. His fellow troopers of the 11th Armored Cavalry’s Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia, salute our fallen brother. Robert served courageously with the Aero Rifle Platoon of the Air Cavalry Troop in 1969 and 1970, and it was our privilege to have him in the ranks of the Legendary Blackhorse Regiment. Our loss is that of another brother down and we will continue to honor his memory at our gatherings and at our annual reunion. Robert was an exemplary soldier. His name will be listed on the roll of our honored dead and in our newsletter, Thunder Run. But as our Burial Liturgy clearly states: “life has not ended, merely changed” and Robert’s soul continues on an endless path. As we were together then (in Vietnam), we will be together again in the life hereafter, comfortably enfolded in the loving arms of our Merciful Father.

Robert and I worked together on the 3rd floor. He was the Best Nurse Ever! The residents really loved him and he really cared about them. We will all miss him very much. May God comfort you and your family. He will give strenth to those who ask.
