ANNVILLE
Robert M. Massar, 74, of 1128 Hoffer Road, died Saturday, January 16, 2016, in his residence. He was the husband of Marlene R. Buck Massar, who died December 28, 2014.
Born in Lebanon, on May 17, 1941, he was the son of Mary Marko Massar of Lebanon and the late Anthony Massar.
He was a retired quarry train engineer for Carmeuse Mines, Annville. Robert enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, hunting, fishing, and watching westerns, along with spending time with his wife.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Robert A., husband of Amy C. Massar of Annville; a daughter, Wendy S. Massar of Enola; four grandchildren, Daniel, Dylan, Gabrielle, and Jenna; four brothers, Fred, husband of Janice Massar of Cornwall, William, husband of Rose Massar of Palmyra, Michael, husband of Sandy Massar of Lebanon, and Joseph, husband of Vita Massar of Lebanon; five sisters, Mary Phares of Palmyra, Eleanor Seiler of Lebanon, Helen, wife of Eldon LeGay of Colorado, Stella, wife of Larry Stonebraker of Mississippi, and Bernadine, wife of Robert Mease of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Massar.
Memorial services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Inurnment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Friday from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
