Matilda May Eichenlaub (nee Carpenter), born August 29, 1927, died April 13, 2020. Passed away peacefully in her sleep from complications of COVID-19 and Alzheimer's disease. Beloved wife for 72 years of her late husband, Charles Sr. Loving Mom of Charles Jr. (Jean), Christine Earley (Gerald Sr.), John Sr. (Julie), and the late Mary Beth Heron (James Sr.). Dutiful sister of Norman Sr. (Patricia), Caroline Wambold (John Sr.), George Sr. (Pauline), Virginia Gilbert (David Sr.) and the late Lewis Sr., Wilfred, Harry, and Florence Stricker. Proud Grandmom of 5 grandchildren, Gerry Earley Jr., Donna Marie Earley, James Heron Jr., Jason Heron, and Jack Eichenlaub. 5 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews covering several generations. Tillie enjoyed taking care of her family especially her grandchildren. She loved Bingo, playing the slot machines at the casino, volunteering as a lunch mother at St James RC School, at the snack bar at Gloria Dei Towers and of course watching her beloved Phillies. Due to the pandemic, we will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. We will inform you when that date comes. No flowers or donations are wanted at this time.
