Marianne Zachwieja

Marianne Zachwieja, 65, passed away on August 7, 2025. Daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude Dwyer. Beloved wife of Leo Zachwieja. Loving mother of Thomas Zachwieja (Angela), Timothy Zachwieja and Stephanie Zachwieja. Also sadly missed by her grandchildren Mason and Isabella. Dear sister of Michael Dwyer (Anne), Kathleen Dwyer, Kevin Dwyer (Annie) and the late Robert Dwyer and William Dwyer. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Marianne managed the script program at Saint Matthew School. She loved going to the beach, basking in the sun and enjoyed trips to the casino. Marianne also enjoyed going out to breakfast and watching Hallmark movies. She loved spending time with family and friends and deeply cherished her role as a grandmother.Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, August 18, 2025 beginning at 9 AM at St. Matthew's Church, 3000 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19149. Funeral Mass 11 AM. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111 would be appreciated by her family.
