Donald Sisk Obituary
Don was dad to three sons Matthew, aged 26, Andrew, 25 and Alex, 19. He leaves his mother, Patricia Prial of Summit, his brother, Tom Sisk and his sister, Patty and her husband, Joseph Hayes and their two daughters, Margaret & Catherine, of Stewart Manor, NY. As well as, Donald’s Aunt, Jeanne Prial and his Prial and Sisk cousins. Donald was predeceased by his father, Edward J. Sisk.
Don was President & CEO of Global Minancing, which has concerns in Mali, Columbia and Brazil.
His love of travel and developing new business took him to Japan, Europe, and Africa, beginning in the mid 1980’s.
He was an inventive cook able to create on-the-spot meals which always pleased the palate.
Don’s outrageous humor belied a serious, caring and tender side which extended to everyone he met.
Services will be held at Saint Teresa’s Church on Wednesday, November the 10th at 10:45 AM, in Summit.

Donald was my business partner in nyc and Mali west Africa we spent a lot of time together in the 90s and 2000s. I had him on the phone last year when our other business partner died at 59 years old. Donald and I were meaning to get together last year and discuss old times new business yachts and film scripts. He always reminded me of james woods always calm collected and street smart. We had our ups and downs over the years when I left Africa somehow we remained in decent terms and planned new talks. I’m saddened and shocked at this news. I had no idea. I am shocked after just hearing of Donalds passing, such a great support to me and to film in general. I am in New York now and was due to meet him and was so looking forward to meeting the great man in person. Sincere condolences to all his family. RIP Donald.

Sisky we never met in person but hoped to in the future, I'm so sad that we won't get the chance to now. We met on Facebook because of Terry and Charlie (Go Charlie go) and I know how much you loved him and him you. We spoke often over the years, we both enjoyed the slagging matches. Saddened by this news. Donald was always so supportive of my film work and to most Irish independent filmmakers. His funny, dark humour always made me laugh and his encouragement and loyalty with my work will never be forgotten. Thank you for being genuine, kind and supportive Don, you were one of a kind. I was very fortunate to have met Don many years ago and had wonderful times together at business functions and late night dinners. He was always someone that wanted to help others. Donald had quite the opinion on LinkedIn and didn´t seem to like Aussies too much. Even so, I found him an interesting guy and was sorry to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Humans have many sub-identities such as race, religion, and colour; non of these makes anyone better than the other, but one feature separates the humans from one another; being good or bad; Donald was a very kind and good person. I believe no meeting is a coincidence, Donald and I met for the first time at a business meeting, and that's how our friendship started. You can sense some people from the first minute you meet how special, kind and intelligent they are; Donald was just that. In a short time, Donald became a friend with whom I could speak business and personal subjects, and he would tell me his thoughts, and I appreciated him being forthright. He will always live in my heart.

Friend, mentor and the most caring soul I have met throughout my travels in life. Don´s laugh and ability to always see light in any situation truly has left an imprint on my life. There are not many constants in this world, but Don patience, wisdom, loyalty combined with deep empathy were always a constant daily.
