Dr. Stanley Dale MacMurdo, 71, of Cranberry Twp., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 10, 2021. As he moved forward to be with our Heavenly Father, he had his loving wife, children, their spouses, and friend by his side. Dale, originally from Ellwood City, was born on February 22, 1950. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years, Lois A. MacMurdo, two children, Deborah (Paul) Grubb and Matthew (Lauren) MacMurdo, four grandchildren, Jack, James, Mia, and Molly MacMurdo, along with two nephews, Michael MacMurdo and Paul MacMurdo, and a niece, BethAnn Verone. Dale was the son of the late Paul and Viola (Coates) MacMurdo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brian MacMurdo.

Dale spent his career as an Anesthesiologist through his practice with Butler Memorial Hospital and UPMC, where he recently retired in 2019. Through his tenure, he specialized in pain management. He was honored to serve as President of the Medical Staff of Butler Memorial Hospital and a member of the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dale had a love for sports; Dale was an outstanding High School and College Athlete. He carried his love for sports throughout his life, spending leisure time golfing. Dale transferred his professional dedication, hard work ethic, and his love of sports onto his children. Dale was a passionate man with a deep love for family and faith. He deeply loved his wife and spending time with his "best friend." Together they continued Dales's competitive nature and love of faith with daily Sudoku challenges and bible readings. Dale enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time together at their home in Naples, Florida.
