Larry Swantner Sr.

Larry Swantner Sr., 73, of Moscow Mills, passed away on Oct. 11, 2017.
He was the beloved husband of Bonnie Swantner (nee Miller).
He is survived by his son, L. David Swantner, Jr. of Lake of the Ozarks; daughter, Brenda (David) Moyers of Moscow Mills; brother, Robert J. (Ruth) Swantner Jr. of Wentzville; four grandsons, Christopher Willerding, Jared Swantner, Adam Swantner, Josh Moyers; two granddaughters, Jessica Probst, Katie Swantner;
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert James Swantner, mother, Alvina Swantner, sister, Mary Jean Prinster.
Larry enjoyed 56 years of marriage to his wife, Bonnie.
He was the owner of Swantner Motor Company for several years. Larry was an avid horseman, loved animals in general as well as antique cars, especially his 1962 corvette. He was a member of Good Guys Car Club, National Street Rod Association and the NRA.
Larry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather to six, great-grandfather to 5.5, a friend to many, as he did not know a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from noon-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway. Funeral will be Monday, Oct. 16 at the funeral home. at 10 a.m. Interment followed in athe Eternal Peace Cemetery in Wentzville.
