Edward H. Lanoue
of Pompano Beach, FL

POMPANO BEACH, Florida -- Mr. Edward "Honey, Hank" Lanoue, of Pompano Beach, FL, formerly of N. Chelmsford, MA, died Sunday, May 2, 2010, at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

He was married to Mrs. Miriam A. (Casey) Lanoue with whom he would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Nov. 17th.

Born in Lowell, MA on Oct. 21, 1928, the son of the late Henry and Lillian (Keefe) Lanoue.

He attended Keith Academy, and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during W.W.II. He then joined the U.S. Air Force where he served until 1954.

He was employed with the New England Telephone Co. in 1956 until his retirement in 1989.

He was an avid player of the 45's card game and a passionate sports fan especially his love for the New York Yankees. He had a unique sense of humor, a commitment and love for his family and friends, and enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod.

He was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Church in Pompano Beach, FL and St. John the Evangelist Church, N. Chelmsford, MA. He was formerly a communicant of St. Margaret's Church of Lowell, MA and the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Local I.B.E.W # 2321 in the Merrimack Valley, and the Tele-Com Pioneers. His activities included a social membership of the Mt. Pleasant Golf Club in Lowell, MA and the American Legion Post #0400 of Pompano Beach, FL.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son and his wife, Michael A. and Peri Lanoue of Orrs Island, ME; two daughters and their husbands, Linda M. and David DePaulis of Chelmsford, MA and Colleen A. and Stephen Hajjar of Methuen, MA; two brothers and their wives, Retired LT. Colonel USAF Donald L. and Eleanor (Kelley) Lanoue of Sun City West, AZ, and David R. and Shirley (Martin) Lanoue of Manchester, NH; three granddaughters, Meghan Desmarais of N. Chelmsford, MA, Magdalena and Sarah Lanoue of Orrs Island, ME; two step grandchildren, Kendra Petrone and Peter Hajjar of Methuen, MA; a great granddaughter, Casey Lynn Cruz; brother in-law and his wife, Harry J. and Celyne (Guimont) Casey of Saratoga Springs, UT, many nieces, nephews and life long friends.
