David Menard

1938 - 2019

Entrepreneur, businessman, avid farm implement and American Folk Art Collector, David W. Menard passed away on May 13, 2019 in peace. David spent 50 years in business. He was a graduate of Cornell's School of Agricultural Economics and its Graduate School of Business. From there, he launched a professional career that spanned public accounting, international shipping, and Mergers & Acquisitions-- founding two M&A firms that specialized in selling what he fondly referred to as "low tech family companies." David leveraged his M&A experience in 1999, when he became CEO and Chairman of Moro Corporation, a publicly traded company he founded, grew through acquisition, and lovingly led until his retirement in March of this year. He also served for over a decade on the Board of Eagleville Hospital, a non-profit alcohol and drug treatment organization and was and member of The Union League of Philadelphia. David was a passionate gardener and reader of The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Art & Antiques and Lancaster Farming. His antique collection celebrated early farm technology and the American Indian. David is survived by his wife Jacqueline, his three step-children, Greta, Vivian & Neil and four grandchildren, Shoshanna, Anneliese, Maxwell and Rose, his two brothers, Kirk and John, nieces and nephews Matt, Jeremy, Elizabeth and Sarah, and he was predeceased by his son Peter D.
