Sad to hear the passing of Agnes. She was my most respected and favorite Math teacher at PAHS and one of the reasons I pursued a Math degree in College. RIP.

Agnes was a very good friend and coworker at Pen Argyl High School. We also enjoyed attending football games and the Bangor Elk Men's chorus concerts. Agnes will be missed

Miss Anderson's influence was enormous. She cared about every part of us as students. Academic excellence of course, but her kindness extended to everyone and she cares about you as a person. She continues to be my role model decades after I sat in her class. She will never be forgotten!

Agnes was a wonderful colleague who was the epitome of a great educator--professional, good, kind, challenging, fair, helpful, and admired by all of us. Her students, including our own two children, loved and admired her as well. Rest in peace, dear Agnes--another legend gone, but not forgotten. My condolences to her nieces and families.

Miss Anderson was my Algebra ll teacher her first year in Honesdale. Even as an inexperienced teacher she had all of the qualities of excellence, a natural. I loved her; she got me through what to me was a very challenging subject with ease and stellar professionalism. She was a role model for my own teaching career.

My deepest sympathy to Agnes’s family. Agnes was a mentor and a role model to me throughout my teaching career at Pen Argyl High School. She was the consummate professional as well as a kind friend.
She was a gracious hostess. I valued our conversations and her wisdom. She cared deeply about her students and her colleagues. What a life well lived! May Agnes Rest In Peace.

Miss Anderson was devoted to her role as teacher and performed it very well. She was articulate and respected. I was blessed to continue as her pupil of sorts at Faith United Presbyterian where she was a faithful presence. She graciously told me at one point that I could call her Agnes but I just could not do it. She will continue as a blessed memory.

Miss Anderson was my math teacher at PAHS my senior year in the late 70’s. I was in her Algebra III/Pre-Calculus class. She was a great teacher. Very smart, but able to relate the concepts to her students. She had gentle, caring approach. I went on to be a public school math teacher for 35 years. Very happy to have had her as a teacher. Rest in Peace Miss Anderson.

Miss Anderson was my algebra teacher at HHS. I remember her beautiful penmanship when she wrote on the blackboard. She was such a lovely person. We also belonged to the same church, the 1st Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir. She was in the same church women's group as my mom. I remember Mom meeting her there when Miss Anderson first moved to Honesdale and telling me how nice she was. She will always be remembered by my classmates of the Honesdale High School Class of '64 as one of our great teachers.

Miss Anderson was one of those teachers that had a way of teaching so that everyone learned it quickly and well. She was always there to offer extra help if needed. You could always tell that she loved what she did and was there for her students. The world lost another great one. She was a life changer. Thoughts and prayers for her family.

Miss Anderson was my algebra teacher at Pen Argyl High School . She was always such a kind and gentle person who truly cared about her students and was dedicated to her profession . Who would have thought that almost fifty years later my son would have the opportunity to care for her lawn. She showed the same kindness and concern toward him that I felt as one of her students . So glad she was part of our lives . Rest In Peace Miss Anderson

The devotion Agnes had to her students, as well as the kindness and compassion to all she knew, made her a “very special lady”. Faith Church was blessed to have her with us for so many years. With sympathy, Pat Lambert

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Agnes was a great help in our Church functions here in Pen Argyl. She was someone I could depend on to help with the Church soup & bake sales, also many other functions that the Faith United Presbyterian Church held.
