Kenneth Maffia Obituary

Kenneth J. Maffia, 76, of Hopedale passed away on Friday, Dec. 25, 2020 at the Blaire House, Worcester where he had been a resident for just under a month. He was the husband of Catherine Jane (MacDougall) Maffia. Mr. Maffia had worked in newspaper distribution throughout the area for many years. Ken was born Aug. 2, 1944 in Milford the son of the late Samuel L. and Elvira F. (Rubeo) Maffia and had attended Milford High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Ken was a sports enthusiast, enjoyed Doo-wop music and had attended Sacred Heart Church of Hopedale. In addition to his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, He is survived by his son, Kenneth J. Maffia Jr. and his fiance, Dawn Obitz of Westfield, his daughter, Ann Marie Cedrone of Mendon; his brother, Frederick and his wife Mary Maffia of Milford; 5 grandchildren, Sofia, Anna, Frank, Joseph and Samantha and many nieces and nephews including his nephew Robert Hoffman who provided hours of companionship and reminiscence about family, old cars and good times. He was predeceased by two brothers, Louis Maffia and Robert Maffia and two sisters, Dorothy Moffi and Jean Hoffman. Funeral services, with military honors, will be private in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Hopedale. Arrangements by Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, Milford. www.bumafuneral home.com.
