I know so well how important an Oma is, how she grounds us in where we've come from and supports us into our future, and your Oma was exceptional. Over all the years of visits I remember Scrabble, I remember the neat, very Dutch home she kept, and her straight forward way of being in the world. I am so honoured to have known such a strong, bright light. All our love to all of you who grieve her passing but celebrate a well lived life.

Tante Rie was my aunt and my second mother. Such fond memories of those tender moments growing up in Dorval with our two families, now united.
She is at peace in a better place.
We will carry the torch of her eternal love with us always.
