He was the best uncle a niece
could ever ask for. Allen will be in my heart forever until the day I pass.

The best way I can think of to honor Allen's memory is to share his story. I tell all of my students how he worked so hard to be independent. How he worked, shopped, lived his life doing more than many who had no limitations. He was and always will be an inspiration. He will be missed, but never forgotten. 500 people or more every year gets to know him.

Hello Family. I wanted to let you all know that on Christmas Eve during Disneyland's Ceremony of lights, a paper lantern will be released with Allen's name and a prayer reading "I am home in heaven, dear ones;
oh, so happy and so bright!
There is a perfect joy and
beauty in the everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
safely home in heaven at last.
There is work still waiting for you,
so you must not idly stand,
do it now, while life remaineth–
you shall rest in God's own land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
oh, the rapture of that meeting"
Allen... You are loved and we will meet someday.

Allen was a person who never gave up, and did his best whatever the situation.
He was one of the most courageous men
that I had the pleasure of knowing....
