Anne Wise Pullen passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024. She was born on January 11, 1934, in Houston, Texas, to the late Paul Eaton Wise and Elizabeth Reynolds Wise. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pullen.

Anne is survived by her sons, Robert W Pullen, Jr., his wife, Jill, children Robby and wife Erin and their baby due in January 2025, Will and Alex; Wesley Pullen, son Ben, his wife, Robin children Grayson, Lily and Isley, and daughter, Alyssa; Corey Pullen, his wife, Sherri, children Emily and Paul; her daughter, Elizabeth Pullen Schwing, her husband, Ned, children Ford and his fiancé Morgan Carlson, Abby, and Annie, her husband, Kevin Ellis and son Henry Ellis. She is also survived by many cherished El Paso cousins.

Anne graduated from Lanier Junior High School, Lamar High School and The University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She attended Camp Waldemar for many years both as a camper and counselor. In Houston, Anne was active in many organizations including the Junior League of Houston, the Theta Antique Show, the Garden Club of Houston, Town and Country Garden Club, and St. Martin's Episcopal Church. Along the way, Anne made lifelong friends of all ages who valued her listening ear, great sense of humor and sharp memory. Anne and Bob shared a love of hunting, fishing, skiing, tennis, travel and their beloved dogs and created wonderful memories together in Aspen, CO, Sun Valley, ID and Rockport, TX. Anne was an avid reader, gardener, worked countless jigsaw puzzles, created beautiful needlepoint stockings and loved playing Mah Jong and Onze with friends. Anne attended hundreds of her children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's athletic and stage events. She was devoted to family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77057. The family will be receiving guests at the reception immediately afterward in the Bagby Parish Hall.

Donations may be made to St. Martin's Episcopal Church 717 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77056 or a charity of your choice.
