Antonio P. "Tony" Garza

GARZA Antonio 'Tony' P. Garza, 83, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, after a short battle with cancer, and to rejoin his wife of 42 years and two sons on Sunday, February 15, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Leal Garza and Angelica Perez Garza; sons, Adolph C. Garza and David Garza; sisters, Angelica 'Quila' Garcia and Josefa 'Pepa' Garcia and half sister, Alma Garza. He leaves to cherish his memory one son Elmo R. (Diane) Garza; 5 grandchildren, Joey D. (Kathryn) Garza, Brian S. Garza, Rodney (Veronica) Garza, Leslie Nicole Garza, David Aaron Garza and 5 great-grandchildren. His survivors include a brother, Alberto 'Beto' (Elvia) Garza of Fontana, California; sister Lucy Garcia and half-brother, Roy Garza of Muskegon, Michigan Antonio was an Army veteran who served in the European Campaign and received 4 Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart, he retired after 29 years of service from C.C. Distributors. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited that same evening at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3423 Rojo St., at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Honoring Mr. Garza as pallbearers will be Joey Garza, Brian Garza, Rodney Garza, Sammy Garcia, Oscar Cantu and Pete Ramirez. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Aaron Garza, Bruno Cruz and Roger Perez.
