1938 Arthur and me at his birthday party
February 27, 2018
I just learned yesterday of Arthur's death (told to me by a friend who went to Babson and received the alumni magazine). Arthur and I were life-long friends starting in nursery school. Although we did not see one another, we emailed all through the years. Arthur was a courageous, fun-loving, compassionate person whose pride and joy was his family. I believe that these last years, despite his illness, were the happiest years of his life. I send fondest regards to all the family. George joins me in sending love. Ellen Anthonisen

I am very saddened to find out just now about Arthur's passing. For many years as the person I turned to for help and advice about NYC properties, he was warm, witty, kind, insightful, generous with his time, and professional through and through. My deepest condolences to his family.

Meeting Arthur in New York, showing me an appartement may be even 15 years ago,was the start of our friendship. Coming to the city, I never lived in , a few times a year was meeting Arthur as well.Inspiring, sharing same of a little crazy sense of humor, creative, family man and a real friend becomes a memory for me. That hurts since he gave me a lot of great memories. My thoughts are with his wife Marjorie ,children and grandchildren.

I remember Arthur as a very sweet and generous man with a great sense of humor. He was a valuable member of the Lewisboro Garden Club and will be dearly missed by all. Carole, LGC

Arthur was a longtime member of the Lewisboro Garden Club and a sweet man and true gentleman. He was an early enthusiastic supporter of Golden Roads Daffodils, our roadside beautification initiative. There are many daffodils around his neighborhood due to his efforts and selling skills.
The Lewisboro Garden Club is dedicating Saturday's (Oct. 28) Golden Roads 4,000 bulb daffodil roadside planting to Arthur's memory. We hope family, friends and garden club members will fondly remember Arthur as they pass by His daffodils each spring along Route 35 and Spring Street and the State Police station.

I lived in Scarsdale next door to Arthur's parents. My parents were their close friends and we all loved Arthur and Lotte. They were among the dearest people we ever knew. Sorry I never knew Arthur Jr. I vaguely remember he had a nick name!
