We so enjoyed being a Rancho Mirage neighbor for many years, sitting by the lake, playing "Apples to Apples...". We looked forward to Arthur and Lois´ return each winter. You couldn´t ask for more wonderful neighbors. Arthur´s humor, warmth and mensch-ness made him a valued friend. Hugs to you, Lois.

I have known Arthur for over 60 years as both a friend and a client. I will miss our conversations and the jokes that he emailed me. I remember our many luncheons at Manny's Deli with his attorney for corned beef sandwiches. My deepest sympathies to the Shapiro family.

I´m sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories from when we all lived on Walnut. I remember Mr. Shapiro telling a funny story about the draft notice that arrived for Abraham Shapiro that he ignored because he didn´t recognize that as his birth name. Condolences to all.
