I've only just learned of Ben's passing. We were classmates at TCC and spent so much time studying, learning, laughing and goofing.
I left at the end of our junior year and finished Chiropractic studies at Palmer. I missed all the struggles and closeness of the senior year with my TCC classmates - too bad as there would be even more stories to tell.
Ben was a serious powerhouse - He will be missed.

Ben Beard was a Giant among men, loving father and devoted husband to his wife Kitty. Ben was an inspiration to everyone he met and believed in the divine potential in us all. Ben told me 35 years ago that " people will not remember what you said or what you did but will always remeber the way you made them feel." Ben you made everyone feel good and we miss you. Your spirit will live in us forever. Look after Kitty from above.

Kitty, Bo, Luke and the rest of the family,
Marcia and I are so very sorry for your loss that came altogether too soon. The world has lost a truly big man.
I don't know if Ben really ever got his due but every DC in Texas owes him a debt of gratitude. I certainly feel grateful and honored to have known him.
We will keep all of you and Ben in our thoughts and prayers.

Ben started as my student and ended up as my friend but not before I placed the challenges before him to become the doctor I knew he could be. He will be missed by many.
