PEORIA - Betty I. Danforth, age 82, of Peoria died at 10:25 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at her residence.
She was born April 16, 1931, in Peoria to Eilert and Hazel Luecht. She married Robert Danforth on June 19, 1976, in Peoria. He passed away Nov. 26, 2006 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Mike Perkhiser; three sisters, Alma Wineland, Bertha Kepler and Edna Hudson; and one brother, Eilert "Junior" Luecht.
Survivors include two sons, Jake Perkhiser of Palm Springs, Calif., and Kelly (Tammy) Cravens of Englewood, Colorado; one stepson, Larry (Sandy) Danforth of Pontiac, Ill.; several grandchildren, including her caretaker, Kasey McMurray; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma (Jim) Goble of Peoria; and two sisters-in-law, Carol Luecht of Peoria and Jackie Chatwood of Peoria.
The family would like to thank the nurses that gave Betty excellent care and friendship over the past year and a half: Toni, Sharon, Anne, Connie, Brenda, Sally, Jennifer, Diane, JoAnne and Rosie.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and at Betty's request, there will be no public services.
Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
