I'm really struggling to imagine Rich Street without Carole living here. I remember shortly after we moved in discovering her taking meals to an older gentleman who lived alone. She was full of good-hearted generosity. She was not a shy woman! I will miss her smiles and greetings, and our conversations on the porch, bragging about our kids.

I am so sorry to hear that Carole passed. Loved to go to her house and listen to her stereo with the big, bad speakers - good times. Loved to go to Shirley and Elmer's especially around Christmas time with Elmer playing Santa and of course for anything Shirley cooked. My thoughts and prayers are with you Shirley, John and Katie. Take Care.

My heart is heavy at this time. Carole was a long time friend during middle school at Starling & high school at Central. When I think of Carole it brings back all our adventures during our early years. Shirley I will always remember your home was a welcoming place for all of us. Carole always filled a room with her presence. I will always remember you fondly.

They say your first Love is the truest and most memorable Love you will ever have. Carole was mine, and it's true. Best friends to the end, there will never be another like Carole. She loved her children, John and Katie, very, very much and was always ready to talk about how proud she was of both of them. If you know John and Katie, it's easy to understand why. Carole's mother, Shirley, was always the rock of the family. Always putting Carole and her grand children first above everything else. My deepest condolences go out to Shirley, John, and Katie. May God ease your pain and leave you with chuckles and smiles every time you think of Carole.

Those who love us don't go away,
they walk beside us everyday,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed & very dear.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal;
Love leaves a memory no one can steal-

Carole was a beautiful person inside and out. So sorry for your loss.
