I met Charlie at Young Americans for Liberty events over a couple years. He was a truly great man, and I will miss the late nights and great conversations. Even though I only spent time with him on a few occasions, he was someone I considered a friend and always made everyone around him feel welcome. Rest in peace Charlie, may your legacy live on.

I just stumbled upon Charlie's obituary here while researching the Crooks name. Terrible loss. This kid had everything to give America, and boy do we need young people like Charlie. I am very sorry your family and all of us, especially those of us who did not know him, lost him too early.

I wish I had shared a cockpit with this young Pilot. What a tragic loss for his family, and for aviation.

This is such shocking and heart-breaking news and my deepest sympathies go out to Charlie's family and friends. Charlie was always so kind, funny, and determined! In grade 10, both Charlie and I were Rogers housemates and I remember us quizzing each other back and forth all throughout prep time to ace Mr. Cowie's history tests. It was always fascinating to hear Charlie talk about his passion for anything aviation as well as witness some of his funny green-screen videos. In grade 12, Charlie was an awesome roommate. He was always very considerate and we had some really fun times together.

Gosh, what an amazing life squeezed into such a short time. I didn't know Charlie personally but somehow I was drawn to his story from the first time I heard it on the news and later finding it online. Reading his obituary makes me wish I had known him. He touched so many lives & made so many positive impressions, and continues to even today. My heart breaks for his family but talk about reminding us to pursue your passions and live your dreams! Thank you Charlie

Dear Kate, I'm so heartbroken to hear of Charlie's passing. You've been in my thoughts daily and I'm sending so much love to you, Hew, and the kids during this unfathomable time. I can remember a few years ago you talking with such admiration for Charlie's achievements, particularly how he was thriving so much at school in Canada. At the time, I recall thinking about what an incredible mom you were, and though I never got the opportunity to meet Charlie, I could see through meeting his wonderful sister Mary that you have raised an extraordinary family. Charlie's obituary is such a loving and beautiful tribute to joy he brought our world. May his memory be a blessing, and may your family feel embraced and comforted by all your loved ones and more.

So beautifully written. My heart aches for his wonderful family. The few times I spoke with him, I was in awe of how incredibly intelligent he was and his passion for flying. One thing that stands out most when I think of him was that he loved Indian food. I remember him telling me how all his food needed to have intense seasoning. I can close my eyes and see him in the kitchen where I used to work. So handsome, so proper, so well-spoken; Charlie you will be missed. I truly hope his memory lives on forever. My deepest condolences to his parents, siblings, nana & pa and the rest of his family!

You may not know me, but I knew Charlie. I was a fellow student who attended World Champion Taekwondo with him. I remember Charlie; he is a great kid with a big smile, always determined, persevered through any obstacle he faced. I did not know him outside of Taekwondo, but from what I have read here it sounds like he carried those mannerisms all throughout his life. Charlie has achieved so much during his time here; he followed his dreams and applied himself with great effect. He is someone who anyone of any age can look up to. I pray everyone can find peace in the coming days. Charlie will be missed.

I literally met Charlie on Monday at his apt. with Jordan. I grew up in Bridgeport- we talked about his passion for flying. His joy was effervescent. His due north for living his best life- unmistakable. He told me he was living the life he wanted. He was joking about Jordan´s job. He explained how he got his pilots license and how he loved flying.
I rarely meet people who love their life- he was one. You have all been in my thoughts daily. This obituary is a testimony to your family and the joy I saw.
No words - just know my heart breaks for you in this unimaginable loss. Keeping you close in thought and prayer.
