Charles Hewitt Obituary

HEWITT, Jr., Charles T.
Charles was born on May 21, 1947 and passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2007, after fighting cancer with lots of courage. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he moved to Sacramento at the age of four and has been a resident of Sacramento since. He dedicated his career to DeVons Jewelers for 33 years as a Credit Supervisor. Survived by his best friend and loving wife for 35 years, Janet, and children Chuck III, Robert, Nathan, Regena, and Gayleenya, and their spouses, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Chuck and Janet enjoyed spending their time with all their grandchildren. Chuck enjoyed his fantasy football league, Raiders football, and L.A. Dodgers baseball. Chuck will be remembered best for putting pools together for every sporting event and his creativity for ways to win, and ways to convince you to buy a square. He would even bet you that you would win. He will always be remembered for his years of dedication coaching the Rio Linda Little League. He helped many children. Chuck will always be remembered for his dedication and leadership. He always knew what to say to make you feel good. He touched many lives throughout his life. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 20, at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, Calif.

Chuck, my first impression of you, upon meeting years ago when I was a kid was that you were a quiet soul and had a truly kind nature. An angel on earth. A truly special angel in the lives of all your family now. Peace forever be with you. Much love and the warmest of hugs to you Janet, and all of your children and grandchildren.

Chuck, Our hearts are saddened and We will miss you always. After 35 years you were much more a brother than a brother in law. We never heard you complain about life ever. You were always great with Kenny and Anna who will miss you also. God's Love, Ken and Nancy Spitzer
