SMITHFIELD
Clarence "Junie" Roberts Jr., age 82, of Smithfield, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025. He was born to the late Clarence Sr. and Garland (Garrett) Roberts in Pendleton, on Sept. 18, 1942.
Junie was a hardworking dairy farmer who had a gift for storytelling. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing softball and volleyball. Above all, Junie loved his time with family!
He is preceded in death by his sister, Sara Ann Colyer.
Left to cherish the memory of Junie are his wife, Sarah Ruth (Klingenfus) Roberts; children, Mark Dunagan, Angela Smith (Tommy) and Amy Alvey (Tim); grandchildren, Cory Smith, Austin Smith (Kelly) and Taylor Alvey; great-grandson, "Tiny" Tommy Smith; brothers, Todd Roberts and Gary Lee Roberts (Mona); several bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held for Junie on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in La Grange with a time of gathering from 3 p.m. until start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Junie's memory.
