D.B. Harrell Obituary
D.B. Harrell, 85, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at Southeast Georgia Health System.
D.B. was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Douglas, Ga., to parents Eddie Harrell and Beatrice Swain Harrell. After graduation from Coffee County High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he was first stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, then Westover Air Force Base, in Massachusetts.
He attended Brunswick Junior College and worked at Coastal Chevrolet, now Dan Vaden Chevrolet, for 30 years. D.B. had a passion for photography and owned and operated his own business with his wife, Patricia. For 35 years, D.B. Harrell Photography photographed many events but their specialty was weddings. He was a member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Georgia Professional Photographers Association. D.B. was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, D.B. was preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie, Wallace and Colin; and a sister, Shirley Beatrice Harrell; all of Augusta, Ga.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Buie Harrell; two daughters, Susan Christian (Paul) and Nancy Hamilton Quackenbush (David); two grandsons, Nicholas Newell Hamilton and William McAfee Hamilton; a brother, Leon Edward Harrell (Annette); and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

To Pat and family...you and the family have our deepest sympathy. Look to the Lord for strength for brighter days ahead. I know that you and D B was a special couple, he was a special guy. Just for you to remember me, I worked along with you a Georgia Power Company back in 1969.
