DALE FOWLER Obituary

Dale Robert Fowler, formerly of Overland Park, Kansas, died on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 at his home in Sunrise Beach, Missouri. Dale was born on April 21, 1937, in Yankton, South Dakota, to Millard Fowler and Gladys (Coie) Fowler. He graduated from Westport High School in 1955. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Linda Groner. They have been devoted to each other and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and daughters Roben Cahoon (Bend, OR) and Karen LaBruzzo, son-in-law Vito LaBruzzo (Winston-Salem, NC), son David Fowler, daughter-in- law Shawn Fowler (Overland Park, KS) and 11 grandchildren. An engineering student, in 1959, he assumed ownership of Westport Printing when his father passed away. Dale was an active member and past president of the Printing House of Craftsman. During his years at Westport Printing, he was a prominent member of the Westport Community where he served as president of the Westport Historical Society. He was instrumental in the development of Pioneer Park in Westport. He later sold Westport Printing and started The Fine Print printing business. He moved his company to Overland Park, Kansas, when he purchased the Colony Plaza Center. He fulfilled his dream of life on the lake, when he retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2006. During retirement, he was active in the community and the Camdenton Optimist Club. Dale will be remembered for his positive attitude, witty humor and engaging smile. He will be sorely missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends in both the Kansas City area and the Lake of the Ozarks. A private family memorial service and inurnment will be held. Following the services, friends are invited to a reception at the Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road in Kansas City, Missouri at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5th, 2016. We are saddened by the news of Dale's passing. Our family has many fond memories of Dale and Mary at Craftsman Club events and conventions in Kansas City and across the country. Dale & Mary and our Parents,Linda and Charlie, were great friends and shared their love of the printing industry. Please know we are thinking of you in this time of loss and know that you are in our prayers. We were all blessed to have known Dale.
Our sincerest condolences,

Dale will be best remembered as a charismatic, charming, humorous, quick witted, and good natured man. But above all he was a loving and devoted family man. Soon he could awaken to a new life during the promised resurrection (Jo 3:16). He will be missed.

So sorry. I have known Dale and his family--parents and siblings--for well over half a century. A wonderful family. Donna was my friend, but I did not see any siblings listed. Can you help me contact her?
