David Crist Obituary
LANCASTER: David A. Crist, 64, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was a retired machinist, loved spending time with his family and friends. Enjoyed biking, kayaking, camping and was always up for new adventures.
David is survived by his son, Scott (Jennifer) Crist; grandchildren, Austin, Emily, Alicia, Gabby, Katie and Ava; sisters, Debbie Crist and Kay (Jim) Fouty; many wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Mabel Crist.
Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday May 2, 2014 at Life Church with Pastor Ron Grubb officiating. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life Church, 5550 Lancaster-Newark Road, Pleasantville, Ohio 43148.

I remember spending time with Dave at his home above Rising Park years ago. It's been years since I saw him but Ill always remember his wonderful smile and kindness to me whenever we'd meet. My sincere condolences to family and friends, there's a good man gone but always remembered.

I'm so sorry to hear of David passing. I just read a note of condolence from him the other day for the death of my brother Michael Chenoweth. This is just so very, very sad. I am so, so sorry for the loss of a very good man.

I just wanted you to know how deeply saddened I was to hear this news. Dave and I were great friends may years ago and we lost touch after a move. However, I was very proud to call "Moose" my friend. We have lost one of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege to know. I am feeling your pain and sorrow at this difficult time. You have my sincere sympathy.

Kay, Debbie, Scott and Jenn: To know Uncle Dave was to love him. We were both so happy that we had reunited our friendship over the last four months. He was the kindest most gentle man I have known. Always a kind word for everyone. He loved all of you, and Scott was so proud of you and all the "Crist Clan." He reminded me daily that God had given him another chance at life, he had so may plans and goals. He is truly in God's hands now and will forever be in my thoughts. He taught me so much in such a short time, mostly to appreciate and make each day count. I loved him so. RIP Uncle Dave.

I had only recently had the opportunity and privilege to renew my friendship with Dave, and his death comes as a shock and sadness to me. Dave and I became the best of friends and had the best of times together when we married into the Erwin family, and he presented me with my first nephew, his son Scott. My condolences to the family.

A brother to me he was. My sincere sympathy to Scott, Debbie, Kay and Jim and all that knew him. Dave and I grew up together as baby boomers and we cherished every moment we had as kids and adults to experience lifes events to the fullest.I'll never forget our motorcycle trip to Colorado in 1973 and our class reunions..Great memories..Rest in peace my Brother!!!

Uncle Dave is how I will remember him -from our close knit family with the River Rats kayak group.
