My families thoughts and prayers are with you, Eric, Ronni and all the people who were able to know David.

I only knew David professionally but, to use someone else's words, he was a real "mensch" and always went out of his way to be helpful. I remember, in particular, a year ago, when my dad had a bad accident in Turkey and David happened to know someone in NY with contacts there and he went above and beyond what most people would do to be helpful.
He will be sorely missed and my heart goes out to his family.

Dear Mindy and Higger Family,

I was so shocked and saddened to learn about David. Although we lost touch many years ago, I have such fond and fun memories spending time with him throughout high school and some years afterwards. Time with David including 5am trips to Hunter Mountain were always a blast because David was incredibly warm, funny and kind. My deepest sympathies go out to all of you at this most difficult time.

Dear Mindy,Eric and Ronnie
We have been thinking of you and your families and can only think of the past 40 years watching you Mindy, and David growing up. David was always active in thinking of others even at his earliest years. We remember his fund raising efforts in behalf of Ronald Mc Donald and how impressed the personnel there were with David. He has left for his family an inheritance of morals, love, respect, and genuine caring for all those he touched.
With saddened hearts of love to you

To Mindy, Eric and Ronni,
Today I read of David's passing in the Times. My heart goes out to you and David's parents and brothers at this unspeakably sad time.

Mindy, I recall talking with you several years ago when David was first diagnosed with prostate cancer. I remember almost every word of our brief conversation. I hope that the happy memories of your life together will sustain you in the days to come.

Sincerely,

Pam Fuchs

I just found out about David, and it made me really sad. My dad died from cancer after fighting it for 16 years. Eric and Ronni, I know exactly what you're going through, and I'm sorry. My heart goes out to you all.

I really liked David - he really meant business when I saw him around the office, but he always took the time to say hi. He was a nice guy, and I'm sorry for your loss.

Mindy, Eric & Ronni,

I found out this morning that David died. I am deeply saddened. David was a real standup guy -- he always tried to do the right thing. He also gave back to the world -- between the Ronald MacDonald House, Special Citizens (an organization providing housing for autistic adults) and probably many others that I have no direct knowledge of, he gave of himself in a very real way.

He was a mensch.

To Mindy and family: I was so sorry to learn of David's passing. He was an indomitable spirit who could often laugh at him despite trying moments in his disease. I shall always remember him as that impish young man who would always brighten my day and who, even under the hardest moments, remained brave and hopeful.
Please accept my sincerest condolences at this time of grief. He will always be a fond and bright memory for me.
