Erdman, Dennis E.

Dennis E. Erdman, 87, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012, at his home. Dennis was born August 23, 1925, to the late Clarence and Viola (Pratzer Fesing) Erdman in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Dennis was brought up on the family farm and learned his favorite game of golf as a caddy at nearby Pine Hills Country Club. He graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1943 and, starting at the age of 17, proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific returning in 1946. Dennis was united in marriage to Helen E. Landwehr in Sheboygan, on December 29, 1948. He was the proprietor of Denny's Bar for several years, was a member of the Sheboygan Jaycees and played on the Sheboygan Redwings Football team. He retired from Kohler Company in 1987. Dennis enjoyed golfing, bowling, a good game of cribbage or sheephead and watching his Green Bay Packers.

A most kind and gentle beloved soul, Dennis is survived by his son, Thomas of St. Pete Beach, Fl.; daughters, Jenny Erdman of St. Pete Beach; and Kristine (Thomas) Michel of Sheboygan; grandchildren, James, Peter and Laura Michel of Sheboygan; and Andrea Michel of Santa Monica, California; and nephews, Karl (Barbara) Kaeppler, Howards Grove, WI; and Richard (Carol) Kaeppler of West Bend, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; his parents; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence (Roland) Kaeppler, Henrietta (Dr. Jerome) Maas and Gertrude (John) Van Vleet.

A memorial contribution may be made to the Salvation Army or The Wounded Warriors Project.
