Dix Boring Obituary
06/08/1932 - 03/16/2024
Dix Boring, 91, passed away peacefully March 13, 2023. He leaves behind his wife, Didi, and two sons -Douglas (Judy) and David Rolph, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dix grew up in Chico, California, from where he spent every teenage summer working on his grandfather's farm in Yamhill, Oregon. He entered UC Berkeley in 1950. Law school followed and in 1961 he and 3 friends founded Knecht, Dingus Fink and Boring.
In 1959 he married Didi and they shared a wonderful life together for 65 years - a lot of hiking, travel and many years of international birding. At home, Dix enjoyed his family and many friends. He especially loved his service with the Museum Committee of his club. Didi, Doug and David want to thank the wonderful team of caregivers who bolstered his life: Amy Bajada, Maharlika Cruz, Ya Pei Lu, and Lorilyn Miranda. There will be a Celebration of Dix's life at a later date.

Didi, I was one of Dix's secretaries in the early 70's. He was such a nice man, and I have many wonderful memoriesl. Im so sad to see that he passed. I still have your wedding gift of a Peter Rocchia lamp!! Love to you and your family. Maryanne (Bello) Luchini
