Domenick Cocchiara Obituary
The son of Joseph and Assunta (Mancini) Cocchiara, he was born on April 9, 1925 in the Bronx.
He was a former member of the Elks in Suffern, Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Lourdes, Council 5890 of Washingtonville and the Republican committee in Suffern. Domenick was also a shop steward for AFL CIO Teamsters Union. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved woodworking and building things with his hands.
Domenick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include: his sons, Joseph A. And his wife, Flora Cocchiara of South Blooming Grove, Anthony J. Cocchiara of Doylestown, Pa. and Richard M. and his wife, Judy, Cocchiara of Washingtonville; one sister, Frances Vieni of White Plains; five grandchildren: Alexandra, Maryanna, Stephanie, Domenick, and Daniel Cocchiara.
His daughter, Suzette Cocchiara, his first wife Susie Dimuro, and his second wife Lonnie Ventola widowed him.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 5th from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 6th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in Domenick's memory to The Blooming Grove Seniors, 4 Horton Rd., Washingtonville, NY 10992
Arrangements are under the care of Thomas A. Murray of David T. Ferguson Funeral Home. 845-496-9106

Rich, Linda and I would like to offer our concolences on the loss of your father. There's little I can say that will take away your loss and pain, just to say that I do understand but yet I cannot as each is unique.
