Donna Louise Gregory

1945 - 2021

Donna Gregory passed away peacefully on Monday September 20, 2021 in Friendswood, Texas. Donna was born April 15, 1945 in Enid, Oklahoma to Don E. Finke and Louise J. Finke. She graduated as Co-Valedictorian from Miami High School in Miami Oklahoma. Donna married Wayne A. Gregory on December 31, 1988 after a whirlwind romance of 9 months. She was a loving mother to her three children, David W. Vanpool, Paul J. Vanpool and Justice J. Vanpool and Wayne's three children, Wayne A. Gregory Jr., Kevin B. Gregory and Janna J. Powell. Donna worked for many years with the law firm Vinson & Elkins. After retiring from V&E she followed her attorney to the investment banking firm, Lazard.

She was a devoted and faithful Christian playing piano for many years at Arcadia Christian and Bay Area Christian Churches. She attended the Harbor church in Friendswood Texas for many years before her death.

She was preceded in death by her father Don and mother Louise.

She is survived by her husband Wayne and children above as well as grandchildren, Taylor R. Powell, Kyle A. Gregory and Kara G. Gregory.

Services are being held Friday October 1, 2021 at the Harbor, 2821 W. Parkwood Ave. (F.M. 528) Friendswood, TX. Visitation from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M., Funeral from 3 P.M. to 4 P.M. followed by burial at Forest Park East 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, TX.
