Edna Mabel Perry Neal
Mrs. Neal, 89, resident of The Summit Place of Southpark Assisted Living Center in Charlotte, NC, passed away May 1, 2011.
She was born in Sumner County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Sadie (Braswell) Perry and William Thaddeus "Tad" Perry.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from the graveside of Fort Benning Post Cemetery.
Mrs. Neal is survived by her two children: daughter, Pamela (Neal) Theesfeld and her husband, Timothy Lyn Theesfeld of Charlotte, NC; son, Charles Peyton Neal and his wife, Kathy Sherman Neal of Huntington Beach, CA; two grandchildren: Christopher Neal Theesfeld and Kathryn Lyn Theesfeld both of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Kathleen (Perry) Cummings and husband, Charles B. Cummings of Portland, TN and a sister-in-law, Lorraine (deRutte) Perry of Santa Barbara, CA and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LTC (Ret) Charlie Lewis Neal, Jr. and a brother, William Carroll Perry.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Red Cross for the Alabama tornado victims.
