88, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on June 11th, 2015. She was a 40+ year resident of the Houston/La Porte area. She was born in Chicago, IL on September 4 th , 1926 to Ethel Fern Marvel Blomberg and Albert E. Blomberg. Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Stanley G. Roach, parents Ethel Fern Marvel Blomberg, father Albert E. Blomberg and step-mother Beulah Swan Blomberg. She is survived by daughter Gloria J. Roach Bredthauer and husband Steven; daughter Susan M. Roach Balbin and husband James; son John W. Roach; granddaughter Deanna Bredthauer Kavanaugh and husband James; granddaughter Lauren J. Balbin and grandson Michael J. Balbin. Eleanor was a loving mother, wife, and friend. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at Grand View Funeral Home, with funeral services beginning at 12:30 P.M. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.

I was so sorry to hear of Eleanor's passing. I remember her as having a wonderful smile and always cheerful to her guests. I know she will be missed.
