Elizabeth Felton Obituary

ELIZABETH MARSHALL "Beth" FELTON, 47, of Collierville, TN, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis, due to an aneurysm. She was born June 23, 1959 in Oxford, MS. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, atSt. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Collierville, with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 noon, at the church. Beth was a beloved member of St. Andrew’s, where she served in many capacities. She was recognized for her service with the honor of being named a recipient of “The Order of St. Andrew’s”. She was recently employed by Matchstix, Inc. candle factory in Collierville, but her greatest vocation was that of Wife and Mother to her adoring husband, Bill, and her loving children, Lucas and Jordan. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Harkey of Pascagoula, MS; her brother, David Houston of Oxford, MS; her stepfather, Ed Horner of Germantown, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Horner of Germantown and Walker Houston of Oxford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in her honor to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 106 Walnut Street, Collierville, TN 38017. I am still stunned and shocked at this terrible tragedy. To know Beth, for any amount of time, was to receive a great gift from God. If she lived to be ninety, we would still say that we didn't have enough time with her. We will miss you, Beth, very much.

I was stunned and terribly saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved one. She was a unique young woman who loved life, her God and her wonderful family. This is reflected by her lovely home and her devotion to her church and her family. She will be mourned by all who knew and loved her. I will miss my dear cousin greatly.
