I did not spend near as much time with my aunt as I would have wished. Lively, loved her life, a grand woman who knew who she was and made no excuses. Tough as nails and soft as a kitten. We all will miss you. Rest in Peace.

In 1993 Ella and Hamilton moved next door to me in Kern Valley addition and what super neighbors I gained. Hamilton passed shortly afterward and getting to know Ella and her loving family was a blessing to me. We were neighbors for 5 years and when I sold the house I asked the new buyers to please mow Ella's front yard and look after her as I had for those wonderful years. I stayed in touch and visited her often--Loved her generosity and flowers and talks we had. To her sons, I will say that losing your mother is never easy, but she was genuine and raised you both with all her love and spirit. Carry that in your hearts forever.
Saddened that I didn't hear of this until after the service--I would've come
May God guide you all thru this grieving time and love on each other.

I'm so glad to have met Ella, and am disappointed I cannot attend her services to offer my condolences in person. Thinking of you at this time, Jim.

I was sad to read of Ella's passing, what a wonderful lady. I delivered her mail from the day she moved into her home till the day I retired in 2011. She would light up when talking of family, and the reunions she would attend. Her stories of the adventures in the outdoors were always fun to listen to, also nothing held her back from her bridge games! I would get a charge out of her telling me around her birthdays that "I look pretty good for my age". I will miss getting her card at Christmas.

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this. My memories with Ella are the times she would tell me her life as she was growing up and thu her life!!!
After she would tell me these stories, I suggested she should write about her life, so Sons, Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, and all her family can tell and re-tell
the stories about Ella!!!!
