Ella Jewel Poe 81, of Deer Park, Texas, went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2012. Ella was born on October 10, 1930 in Dayton, Texas to David and Susan Towler. She was a life-long resident of Deer Park living in the area for 60 plus years. Ella was a very kind, caring, generous and loving wife, mother, "Nanny" and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Poe; parents, David and Susan Towler; brother, D.D. Towler; and sister, Dorthy Patterson.
Ella is survived by her sisters, Verda James, Hazel Morris, Virginia Waldrip, Margie Smith, Bonnie Morris and husband, Bo, Sally Boone and husband Dan; children, Sherry Waddell and husband Mike; Daryle Poe and wife Tanya; Connie Whitworth and husband Bill; grandchildren, Michael and Zachary Waddell; Abigayle and Hayden Poe and many other nieces, nephews friends and family.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 10am at First Baptist Church Deer Park, 438 8th St., Deer Park, TX 77536. Online memorial tributes may be placed at www.grandviewfunerals.com
