Elsie Tsao Obituary
Elsie Jean Tsao, 83, of Belleville, Ill., born April 26, 1926, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at her residence.
Elsie was a member at the Faith Baptist Church, Belleville, Ill., She was active in supporting and assisting at the local food pantry, she had taught Sunday School, and enjoyed working with flowers. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Tsao; and parents, Jesse and Louisa Eugenia, nee Peter, Pees.
Surviving are her children, Michael Eli (Brenda) Tsao and Leah Louise, nee Tsao, (Bruce) Wiedeman; grandchildren, Michael Thomas Tsao, Caleb Bruce (Deborah) Wiedeman, Hannah (Joshua) Strout, Luke Daniel (Megan) Wiedeman, Ruth Leah Wiedeman and Lydia Esther Wiedeman; brother, Alan Lee (Dixie) Pees; sister, Lois Ann Pees; and many first cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Faith Baptist Church, Missionary Friend Fund, 405 East Main Street, Belleville, Ill., 62220.
Visitation: Will be private.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, from Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, Ill., for a 10:15 a.m. graveside service at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. Scott Baker officiating the service.

We loved Elsie Tsao. She was a jewel of a lady, serving the Lord even when she was in pain. One day we who have accepted Christ as our Saviour will be reunited with Elsie. It is our prayer for each of Elsies' loved ones to come to know the Lord and His comfort and love.
