Ernestine Minor Obituary

Olive Branch - ERNESTINE O. MINOR, 64, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord, May 29, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, May 30 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the funeral home, with interment in Autumn Woods Memorial Park in Olive Branch. She leaves her devoted husband of 44 years, Robert E. Minor; and two daughters, Trudy Davis (Tim) and Teresa Harris (Tom), all of Olive Branch. She also leaves seven grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Molly, Hayden, Marshall and Madelyn Davis, and Henry, Logan and Elle Harris; three brothers, Fred Owens of Bethel Springs, TN, James Owens of Saginaw MI, and Jerry Maness of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Bobbie Ware of Atoka, TN, Imagene Owens, and May Copeland, both of Memphis, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-parents, Fred and Mary Jo Owens and Pauline and Dugon Maness; her twin sister, Christine Owens and her brother, Joe Owens. She was a founding member of Bridgetown Baptist Church, where she served and worshipped faithfully until her death. She will be remembered as a Christian woman who loved God, her family, her friends, and her life. Her life touched so many others and she will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Memphis Cancer Foundation/Flying Colors, 8000 Wolf River Blvd, Suite 100, Germantown, TN 38138 or Bridgetown Baptist Church, 2779 Malone Road North in Nesbit, MS. 38651. Ernie touched so many lives!! She was always thinking and doing for others, no matter how ill she felt!!Ernie loved her Lord,her family, her church, and her friends!! And she was loved in return!!She will be greatly missed!! I'm thankful for the privilege of having her in my life!

Ernie was such a blessing to us. She always had a sweet spirit of compassion and concern for every one she knew. What a servant's heart she had - so precious! She will be greatly missed here! It's a comfort to know she is rejoicing in heaven beside her Savior!

Ernestine will be greatly missed but her love,laughter and smile and love for Jesus will continue through her husband Robert and her children Teresa(my precious sister-in-law)and Trudy,her grandchildren Molly, Hayden,Marshall, Madelyn, Henry, Logan and Elle. My prayers go out to her sweet family and all her friends who she dearly loved and who dearly loved her.

Ernie will be sadly missed. She was always so loving, happy and her smile was genuine. She is now rejoicing in heaven as she looks down upon those she loved so dearly. May God bless each of you at this time of sorrow.
